CURLY GIRL DIARIES- 0001

For 22 of my 23 years of life, I've been a CG. CG, or curly girl simply means I do not use any chemicals on my hair. No perm,texturizer,wave nouveau (WRETCH!), nada.

I always assumed that since I didn't have a perm, I was taking care of my hair. My new obsession, natural hair blogs told me otherwise. I never knew about this huge global community and it has opened my eyes to so much. 

After hours of research and blog stalking, I decided to dive in and really nurture my hair. I've changed my shampoo/conditioner, added weekly 4 hour deep treatments, using hair sealants, and now.....(insert drum roll here)...a 6 month NO HEAT challenge. So bye-bye flatiron and blowdryer until OCTOBER 15 2009! EEK!!! Its been hard, but I'm focused on healthy hair and abundant growth.
